In this topic, you will learn how to register in G5 as an internal user.
Steps:
Click the Sign In button to view the login options.
Step 1Click the Sign In via Login.gov button to open the Login.gov homepage.
Step 2Click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and open the Login.gov homepage.
Step 3After logging in through Login.gov, you will be prompted to register in G5.
Click the Register button to begin the registration process.
Step 4Click in the Employee Type field to select the employee type.
Step 5Select the appropriate employee type from the dropdown list.
In this example, select ED Employee.
Step 6Complete the remaining required fields: First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
These fields have been completed for you in this example.
Step 7Click the Continue button.
Step 8After reviewing the password requirements, click the Agree radio button to accept the terms.
Step 9Click the Submit button to submit your information.
Step 10You will receive a confirmation that the action was successful.
Next, you receive an email titled "[G5.gov] Account Request".
Step 11Open the email then click the Activate My Account button.
Step 12After reviewing the account activation statement, click the Agree radio button to accept the terms.
Step 13Click the Submit button to continue.
Step 14After reviewing the security memo, click the Continue button to continue.
Step 15Enter the your phone number in the Work Number field.
In this example, enter "2025555555".
Step 16Next, you will create a password. Please ensure that your password meets the requirements listed at the top of the page.
A password has been created for you in this example.
Step 17Click the vertical scrollbar to scroll down the page.
Step 18Next, you will select and answer three security questions.
Click in the Security Question1 field.
Step 19Select the desired question from the dropdown list.
In this example, select "What street did you first live on?"
Step 20Enter the answer for the selected question in the Security Answer1 field.
In this example, enter "Main".
Step 21Complete the remaining questions and answers.
These questions have been completed for you in this example.
Step 22Click the Continue button.
Step 23Click the Activate button to activate your account.
Step 24You will receive a message confirming your account has been activated.
Next, you will need to contact the G5 Administrators to have your requested G5 roles assigned to your account.
