Login.gov Authentication for Internal Users

In this topic, you will learn how to authenticate into G5 using Login.gov.

Steps:

1. Click the Sign In button to view the login options.

2. Click the Sign In via Login.gov button to open the Login.gov homepage.

   Step 2

3. Click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and open the Login.gov homepage.

   Step 3

4. Click the Sign in with your government employee ID link.

   Step 4

5. Ensure that your PIV card is inserted in your computer then click the Insert your PIV/CAC button.

   Step 5

6. Select your certificate in the window.

   Step 6

7. Click the OK button.

    

   Note: You may be prompted to enter your PIN at this point.

   Step 7

8. The first time you log into G5 using Login.gov, you will be prompted to agree to share your information with the Department of Education.

    

   Note: This page will not appear again after you login through Login.gov for the first time.

   Step 8

9. Click the Agree and continue button.

   Step 9

10. You will then land on the G5 homepage.

    Step 10
