In this topic, you will learn how to register in the G5 system as a non-fellowship project director.
Steps:
Click the Sign In button to view the login options.
Step 1Click the Sign In button to open the G5 homepage.
Step 2Click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and open the G5 homepage.
Step 3Click the Sign Up link to register as a new user.
Step 4The User Registration screen displays.
Click the button to the right of the ED Employee/ED Contractor field to display the employee/contractor options.
Step 5Select the No list item.
Step 6Enter the information into the First Name field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Tim".
Step 7Enter the information into the Last Name field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Applicant".
Step 8Enter the information into the Telephone No. field. Note that you do not need to enter dashes or spaces, only the 10-digit phone number.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "9415555656".
Step 9Enter the information into the Email Address field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".
Step 10For this example, the email address has been copied into the Confirm Email Address field.
Step 11Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and complete the registration information.
Step 12Enter your address in the required fields which are identified by a red asterisk (*).
These fields have completed for you in this example.
Step 13Click the Continue > button to continue to the user registration agreement.
Step 14Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and read the user agreement.
Step 15Select the Agree option to agree to the user agreement.
Note: If you do not agree, then you may not complete the registration process.
Step 16Click the Submit button to submit your registration.
Step 17The system displays a message indicating that the system will send a notification to your email address.
Step 18The system sends a message with a link to activate your account.
Step 19Clicking the link takes you to the Account Activation screen.
Click the Agree option to agree to the activation terms.
Step 20Click the Submit button to submit your activation.
Step 21Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the rules for the user ID and password.
Step 22Click the Continue > button to complete the password, security question and security answer.
Step 23Enter a phone number into one of the available fields.
In this example, enter "2025555555" in the Work Number field.
Step 24Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 25Enter the password you are creating into the Password field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Education_123".
Step 26For this example, the password has been re-entered in the Verify Password field.
Step 27Click the button to the right of the Security Question field to display the security question options.
Step 28Select the What was your favorite place to visit as a child? list item.
Step 29Enter the information into the Security Answer field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Park".
Step 30For this example, the security questions and answers have been completed.
Step 31Click the Continue > button to continue to the summary information.
Step 32Click the Activate button to activate your account and save your password and security information.
Step 33The system displays a message indicating that the account has been activated and that you will need to log into G5 to select your role for access.

You will receive an email with the G5 link.
Step 34Click the Go to Home button to open the G5 homepage.
Step 35Enter the email address you used to register in G5 into the Email ID field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".
Step 36Enter the password you set up into the Password field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Education_123".
Step 37Click the Login to G5 button to log into the system.
Step 38The Edit Profile screen displays with the information you entered when you set up your account.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and verify the information.
Step 39Select the Project Director list item.
Step 40Click the Continue > button to continue to the Additional Information screen.
Step 41Click the button to the right of the Are you a Project Director/State Director? field to display the answer choices.
Step 42Select the Yes list item.
Step 43Enter the UEI for your organization into the Grantee UEI field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "AAA111BBB222".
Step 44Click the Continue > button to continue to the Edit Profile summary screen.
Step 45Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review your profile.
Step 46Click the Submit button to submit your work and complete the registration process.
Step 47The system displays a message indicating that your profile was successfully updated.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 48Click the Go To Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.

You have successfully registered as a non-fellowship project director.
