Register as a Non-Fellowship Project Director


Concept

In this topic, you will learn how to register in the G5 system as a non-fellowship project director.


Steps:

  1. Click the Sign In button to view the login options.

  2. Click the Sign In button to open the G5 homepage.

  3. Click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and open the G5 homepage.

  4. Click the Sign Up link to register as a new user.

  5. The User Registration screen displays.

     

    Click the button to the right of the ED Employee/ED Contractor field to display the employee/contractor options.

  6. Select the No list item.

  7. Enter the information into the First Name field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Tim".

  8. Enter the information into the Last Name field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Applicant".

  9. Enter the information into the Telephone No. field.  Note that you do not need to enter dashes or spaces, only the 10-digit phone number.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "9415555656".

  10. Enter the information into the Email Address field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".

  11. For this example, the email address has been copied into the Confirm Email Address field.

  12. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and complete the registration information.

  13. Enter your address in the required fields which are identified by a red asterisk (*).

     

    These fields have completed for you in this example.

  14. Click the Continue > button to continue to the user registration agreement.

  15. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and read the user agreement.

  16. Select the Agree option to agree to the user agreement.

     

    Note:  If you do not agree, then you may not complete the registration process.

  17. Click the Submit button to submit your registration.

  18. The system displays a message indicating that the system will send a notification to your email address.

  19. The system sends a message with a link to activate your account.

  20. Clicking the link takes you to the Account Activation screen.

     

    Click the Agree option to agree to the activation terms.

  21. Click the Submit button to submit your activation.

  22. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the rules for the user ID and password.

  23. Click the Continue > button to complete the password, security question and security answer.

  24. Enter a phone number into one of the available fields.

     

    In this example, enter "2025555555" in the Work Number field.

  25. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.

  26. Enter the password you are creating into the Password field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Education_123".

  27. For this example, the password has been re-entered in the Verify Password field.

  28. Click the button to the right of the Security Question field to display the security question options.

  29. Select the What was your favorite place to visit as a child? list item.

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Park".

  32. Click the Continue > button to continue to the summary information.

  33. Click the Activate button to activate your account and save your password and security information.

  34. The system displays a message indicating that the account has been activated and that you will need to log into G5 to select your role for access.

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".

  42. Click the button to the right of the Are you a Project Director/State Director? field to display the answer choices.

  44. Enter the UEI for your organization into the Grantee UEI field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "AAA111BBB222".

  45. Click the Continue > button to continue to the Edit Profile summary screen.
