G6 Login.gov Authentication for External Users

In this topic, you will learn how to authenticate into G6/G5 using Login.gov.

Steps:

1. Click the Sign In button to view the login options.

   Step 1

2. Click the Sign In via Login.gov button to open the Login.gov homepage.

   Step 2

3. Click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and open the Login.gov homepage.

   Step 3

4. Enter your email address in the Email address field.

    

   Note: The email address on your Login.gov account must match the email address on your G5 account.

    

   In this example, enter "tim.applicant9@gmail.com".

   Step 4

5. Next, enter your password.

    

   The password has been entered for you in this example.

   Step 5

6. Click the Sign in button.

   Step 6

7. Next, you will be prompted to use a multi-factor authentication method.  This example will use the backup codes method.

   Step 7

8. Enter one of your backup codes in the Security code field.

    

   The code has been entered for you in this example.

   Step 8

9. Click the Submit button to submit the code and log in to G5.

   Step 9

10. You will then land on the G5 homepage.

    Step 10
