Register as an Applicant


Concept

In this topic, you will learn how to register in the G5 system as an applicant.


Steps:

  1. Click the Sign Up ยป link to register as an applicant.

  2. The User Registration screen displays.

     

    Click the button to the right of the ED Employee/ED Contractor field to display the employee/contractor options.

  3. Select the No list item.

  4. Enter the information into the First Name field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Tim".

  5. Enter the information into the Last Name field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Applicant".

  6. Enter the information into the Telephone No. field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "9415555656".

  7. Enter the information into the Email Address field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".

  8. For this example, the email address has been copied into the Confirm Email Address field.

  9. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and complete the registration information.

  10. Enter the information into the Address 1 field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2000 Veterans Boulevard".

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Punta Gorda".

  12. Click the button to the right of the State field to display the list of state codes.

  13. Select the FLORIDA list item.

  14. Enter the information into the Zip/Postal Code field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "33983".

  15. Click the button to the right of the Country field to display the list of countries.

  16. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down through the list of countries.

  17. Select the USA list item.

  18. Click the Continue > button to continue to the user registration agreement.

  19. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and read the user agreement.

  20. Note:  If you do not agree to the registration terms, then you may not complete the registration process.

     

    Select the Agree option to accept the user registration agreement.

  21. Click the Submit button to submit your registration.

  22. The system displays a message indicating that the system will send a notification to your email address.

  23. The system sends a message with a link to activate your account.

  24. Clicking the link takes you to the Account Activation screen.

     

    Click the Agree option to agree to the activation terms.

  25. Click the Submit button to submit your activation.

  26. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the rules for the user ID and password.

  27. Click the Continue > button to complete the password, security question and security answer.

  28. Enter a phone number into one of the available fields.

     

    In this example, enter "2025555555" in the Work Number field.

  29. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.

  30. Enter the password you are creating into the Password field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Educ@ti0n_12345".

  31. For this example, the password has been re-entered in the Verify Password field.

  32. Click the button to the right of the Security Question field to display the security question options.

  33. Select the What was your favorite place to visit as a child? list item.

  34. Enter the information into the Security Answer field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Park".

  35. For this example, the security questions and answers have been completed.

  36. Click the Continue > button to continue to the summary information.

  37. Click the Activate button to activate your account and save your password and security information.

  38. The system displays a message indicating that the account has been activated and that you will need to log into G5 to select your role for access.

    You will receive an email with the G5 link.

  39. Click the Go to Home button to open the G5 homepage.

  40. Enter the email address you used to register in G5 into the Email ID field.

     

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".

    For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Educ@ti0n_12345".

  42. Click the Login to G5 button to log into the system.

  43. The Edit Profile screen displays with the information you entered when you set up your account.

     

    Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and verify the information.

  44. Note:  You may update any of the fields which are active.  To change your password, you can click the Change Password button.

  46. Click the Continue > button to continue to the Review Your Profile page.

  48. After reviewing the information, click the Submit button to submit and complete your access.

  49. The system displays a message indicating that your profile was successfully updated.

  50. Click the Go To Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.
