In this topic, you will learn how to register in the G5 system as an applicant.
Steps:
Click the Sign Up ยป link to register as an applicant.
Step 1The User Registration screen displays.
Click the button to the right of the ED Employee/ED Contractor field to display the employee/contractor options.
Step 2Select the No list item.
Step 3Enter the information into the First Name field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Tim".
Step 4Enter the information into the Last Name field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Applicant".
Step 5Enter the information into the Telephone No. field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "9415555656".
Step 6Enter the information into the Email Address field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".
Step 7For this example, the email address has been copied into the Confirm Email Address field.
Step 8Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and complete the registration information.
Step 9Enter the information into the Address 1 field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2000 Veterans Boulevard".
Step 10Enter the information into the City field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Punta Gorda".
Step 11Click the button to the right of the State field to display the list of state codes.
Step 12Select the FLORIDA list item.
Step 13Enter the information into the Zip/Postal Code field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "33983".
Step 14Click the button to the right of the Country field to display the list of countries.
Step 15Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down through the list of countries.
Step 16Select the USA list item.
Step 17Click the Continue > button to continue to the user registration agreement.
Step 18Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and read the user agreement.
Step 19Note: If you do not agree to the registration terms, then you may not complete the registration process.
Select the Agree option to accept the user registration agreement.

Click the Submit button to submit your registration.
Step 21The system displays a message indicating that the system will send a notification to your email address.
Step 22The system sends a message with a link to activate your account.
Step 23Clicking the link takes you to the Account Activation screen.
Click the Agree option to agree to the activation terms.
Step 24Click the Submit button to submit your activation.
Step 25Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the rules for the user ID and password.
Step 26Click the Continue > button to complete the password, security question and security answer.
Step 27Enter a phone number into one of the available fields.
In this example, enter "2025555555" in the Work Number field.
Step 28Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 29Enter the password you are creating into the Password field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Educ@ti0n_12345".
Step 30For this example, the password has been re-entered in the Verify Password field.
Step 31Click the button to the right of the Security Question field to display the security question options.
Step 32Select the What was your favorite place to visit as a child? list item.
Step 33Enter the information into the Security Answer field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Park".
Step 34For this example, the security questions and answers have been completed.
Step 35Click the Continue > button to continue to the summary information.
Step 36Click the Activate button to activate your account and save your password and security information.
Step 37The system displays a message indicating that the account has been activated and that you will need to log into G5 to select your role for access.
Next Step
You will receive an email with the G5 link.
Step 38Click the Go to Home button to open the G5 homepage.
Step 39Enter the email address you used to register in G5 into the Email ID field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".
Step 40Enter the password you set up into the Password field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Educ@ti0n_12345".
Step 41Click the Login to G5 button to log into the system.
Step 42The Edit Profile screen displays with the information you entered when you set up your account.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and verify the information.
Step 43Note: You may update any of the fields which are active. To change your password, you can click the Change Password button.
Step 44Select the Applicant list item.
Step 45Click the Continue > button to continue to the Review Your Profile page.
Step 46Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and verify the information.
Step 47After reviewing the information, click the Submit button to submit and complete your access.
Step 48The system displays a message indicating that your profile was successfully updated.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 49Click the Go To Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 50Congratulations!
You have successfully registered as an applicant.
